Position Vacancies
Part-time Facility Attendant – Parks and Recreation
Oversee the Susiegray McConnell Sports Complex and the Bobby Andrews Recreation Center during recreational baseball, soccer, and basketball seasons. Work schedule will vary and will primarily be late afternoon and evenings with some Saturday and Sunday work required. Enforce facility rules and policies; pick up liter and empty trash cans; lock and unlock concession stands and press boxes; maintain bathrooms; check for water leaks and other duties as needed. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and public. NCDL and some knowledge of water systems would be desirable.
Pay rate: $9.00/hr

POLICE OFFICER
Performs general duty law enforcement work to protect life and property in the City. Work includes patrolling the City during assigned shift in a police car or on foot; preventing, detecting and investigating disturbances and crime; performing traffic control work; apprehending suspects; and executing related assignments. High school graduate or equivalent. Possession of a Basic Law Enforcement Certification or currently enrolled in training program. Valid NC driver’s license. Thorough background investigation. Physical exam, psychological exam and drug screen required.
Salary Grade: 17
Salary Range: $30,493 - $45,130 depending upon experience and qualifications*
